Turn Out the Light, Turn on the Stereo is DiFebbo's debut effort and return to the public consciousness. It offers a "well-seasoned brand of retro-styled folk rock that incorporates everything from sunny Beach Boys vocal harmonies and Beatles-esque melodies to bluesy rhythms and hints of psych-rock for a dynamic keyboard-heavy sound." Self-produced and engineered, the bulk of the album was recorded in his home studio, late in the evenings while the family was sleeping. The wide range of influences gained from his entire musical experience comes through in this collection of songs.

Everything about it seems to have a kind of timeworn patina that makes it soothing, comfortable, and familiar. ... more
